Camp Buildings

Camp Maynard is a Scout camp located at 101 Paremoremo Road in Albany, North Shore, Auckland (just 15 minutes north from the harbour bridge), set on a sloping 25 acres, which stretches from Paremoremo Road to Lucas Creek.  The site is 85% regenerating native bush including Kauri.  Whilst the site is primarily available for Scout and Girl Guide groups, we also hire out the facilities to community groups and as such the camp is used for holiday programmes, school camps, craft retreats, corporate functions, an other community events.  Private hire can be arranged, depedning on the nature of your group.  Please note, we do not hire out the camp for 21st parties or similar events, as our campsite is situated in a residential area and as such, all noise must cease between the hours of 11pm and 8am (including weekends).

The camp is an ideal tranquil site with facilities suitable for training and recreational pursuits of many community groups and organisations. The entire campsite is also Smoke Free - this incudes buildings, deck and all of our grounds. Patrons wishing to smoke will be required to leave the property to do so.

Our camp site is run by a group of volunteers on a not-for-profit basis, which means all funds received go back into the maintenance and ongoing improvement of the camp site.  Our most recent project was the complete renovation and relocation of our Kitchen, which is now a modern commercial style kitchen with stainless steel fittings.
